Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information DETHRONE collects, how it is used, and your choices. DETHRONE is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Information we collect
For a listing: the destination URL or @handle, display name, category, and public logo/description. For a payment: the amount, timestamp, and provider identifiers. Standard server logs and aggregate analytics (page views, click counts) are also recorded. Listings, totals, ranks, and the payment history are public by design.
2. Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and payment credentials are entered directly with Stripe and are never received or stored by DETHRONE. We store only the provider's payment and event identifiers and the amount.
3. How we use information
To operate the leaderboard, apply payments to rank, prevent fraud and abuse, provide the public listing and stats pages, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis
We process data to perform the service you request (your listing and payment), for our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
5. Who we share with
We share data only with the processors that run the service: Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and Supabase (database). We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use only the storage needed to run the site (for example, your theme and language preference) and privacy-preserving aggregate analytics. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
7. Data retention
Public listings and the payment ledger are retained as a permanent public record of the board, consistent with the all-sales-final model. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Note that the public payment ledger and rank history are permanent and cannot be selectively erased; requests are honored to the extent the law requires and the append-only record allows.
9. Security
Access to the underlying data is restricted, secrets are stored as environment variables, and payment credentials never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
DETHRONE is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
